The Athenian Constitution

This historical and analytical text traces the development of the Athenian political system from its early origins to the democracy of Aristotle’s time. It provides a detailed account of the various constitutional changes, reforms, and the specific duties of magistrates and governing bodies. The work offers a unique glimpse into the practical workings of ancient democracy, distinct from the theoretical approach found in other philosophical texts. It serves as both a historical record and a critical examination of civic administration.
